Another story line is when Malanar (villain,) leader of the evil state, succeeds in assassinating/capturing Lord Regent Alvenon. The Elven kingdom goes from a period of prosperity to a time of trouble and strife.\\ 
The son of the Lord Regent and his wife are spirited away by a hero (Quallostro) loyal to the family and are kept safe. Thus begins a time of learning and growth for the Lord Regent's son with a battle tested warrior. A mentor.
